This painting is in oil on a stretched canvas and is unframed. The painting is of Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumbria. This is one of my favourite locations in the UK. I just get a deep sense of peace being there on the Isle or in nearby Bamburgh.
I really wasn't sure whether to put a boat in this painting but there's such a connection with fishing that I couldn't really leave one out. I did have a real conundrum about painting a boat so it was not an easy decision to make. I'm glad I added the boat and I hope someone will like it.
